Child Killed in Fall at Staples Center in LA

An investigation is currently underway in the death of a two-year-old boy who fell from a third story box seat at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sudnay. The boy was allegedly taking pictures with his family in a skybox when the accident happened. A galls safety barrier is there, but varies in height. However, it is not less than several feet high at any given point.

Officials estimate the boy fell 25 to 50 feet.

According to a fire department spokesperson, the boy suffered severe head trauma. Vice president of communications at the Staples Center said witnesses saw the boy moving his arms, legs, and head when paramedics put him into an ambulance.

The boy apparently fell just minutes after the conclusion of the game where the Lakers played the Golden State Warriors.

The fall and death is being handled by the police department's juvenile division, which investigates the deaths of young children and other crimes involving children. However, there is no evidence yet that this was a crime.

If your child has been injured in a fall or you have lost a loved one and you believe it is wrongful death, please contact the Accident Lawyers Network to find an experienced personal injury attorney in your area.
