Head-on Auto Accident Involving Two Brothers Kills One in Oregon

Head-on Auto Accident Involving Two Brothers Kills One in Oregon

Two brothers driving in opposite directions were involved in a head-on auto accident Tuesday, July 13, just south of the Hood River in Oregon on I-35. The accident critically injured one brother and killed his wife. The other brother was treated for possible injuries, but they were not serious.

One brother driving a tow truck was headed south, while his younger brother was headed north in a 2007 Toyota Corolla. Authorities say both vehicles crossed into opposite lanes before the crash. It is believed the brother in the Corolla was not wearing his seatbelt. His wife, who was killed, was wearing hers.

There can be no doubt that seatbelts save lives. However, in an auto accident where a smaller vehicle is hit head on by a larger truck, it may not matter if there is a seatbelt or an airbag. It is an unfortunate truth that many people who take precautions, such as wearing a seatbelt and driving defensively, are the victims of auto accidents while others who are more cavalier survive.

If you or a loved one has been injured in an auto accident anywhere in the nation, please contact the Accident Lawyer's Network to find an experienced personal injury lawyer in your area.
